Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and writer. Her family was home-schooled by her mother, and her father, in USA. Her childhood was filled with racist remarks and felt unloved. When she went to a school competition and received high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade, the girl began to feel more confident. It not only boosted her confidence but also shifted her career ambition. When she was 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both major breaks. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. The actress is also a renowned singer and has produced an extended show. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate to promote LGBT equality.
